(I really hope that this post is informative as I spent A LOT of time working hard on it. Please do reblog and spread the word here on this, I’m trying to help people out since Eridan is so poorly characterised within the fandom)

It should be best for me to make the first ‘proper’ post of this Tumblr about getting Eridan’s typing quirk right, seeing as this is definitely an important factor in roleplaying Eridan. reasons eridan hates landwellers:

• they throw their trash in and around the sea
• he’s above them in the hemospectrum and also a seadweller, so he feels superior to them
• he’s probably under the impression that he SHOULD hate them because that’s the example that he’s been set
• the fact that most of them don’t really respect him can’t help much

he isn’t ‘racist’ because they’re all trolls and that is their race… the whole blood caste superiority thing is just a troll culture thing

Hi! This is tumblr user eridantier speaking and I want to educate Tumblr on Eridan.

I care a lot about Eridan Ampora and it truly saddens me to see him so poorly characterised within the fandom and reduced to a desperate “wweh wweh fill my buckets” character. Since I spend a lot of time thinking about and analysing his character as well as roleplaying him, I figured I could probably help a few people out by educating them and so I created this blog.

I’ll be breaking down Eridan’s character here, exposing some Eridan myths and giving general tips on how to roleplay him properly.
